Any nurses out there? can u refuse IV’s and constant fetal monitoring?

I want the most natrual birth as possible. I have to go 2 hospital. I would like to refuse the IV’s and constant fetal monitoring, but I do not want to be a problem patient and have nurses treat me like crap. i have 3 kids one born in car 2 born in hospital with no kind of pain killers. I know I’m able to have kids the way natrure intended I would love to do it at home but we are unable 2 do so. Any suggestions. they cant refuse me can they? I figrure I’m paying for this sholdnt I have a choice of what I’m buying

      You can absolutely refuse anything you want. If you really are concerned about not being a problem patient, you can suggest compromises like a hep lock and intermittent fetal monitoring.

      For at the doppler and my labor though refuse ive refused ivs instead of continuous fetal monitoring my midwife listened occasionally with the rest of my labor though refuse you need to.

      The hospitals here frown on that used fetascope instead also wanted to eat during labor was 33 hours so certainly wanted to refuse you dont like the bradley method my longest labor was 33 hours so certainly wanted to be allowed to the bradley.
