LOL WalMart will return items with a receipt for up to 30 days from the date of purchase. If it has been more than 30 days, or you do not have the receipt, just take it in and tell them it was a gift and it is non-working. Tell them you want to get something else because you have heard these things never work properly! They will issue you a refund but it will be in the form of a gift card which you can use in the store the same date, or a later date. Exceptions are certain electronics, unwrapped CDs or DVDs (can only be exchanged for exact same title), and I believe Baby formula is required to have a receipt because of so many people who tried to take their freaking WIC formula back to the store for cash!
