Fetal Monitors

I know the babys heart beat starts around 5-6 weeks and I know that I am super paranoid, so I just need input.

The first couple of times I used the doppler I wasn’t able to hear anything…..and for the first time I heard a heart beat near my lower left abdomen. It didn’t sound fast enough. I moved the doppler to the top portion near my stomache and the heart beat rythum sound the same. Does anyone know how the fast the fetal heart beat should be?

Is there a certain brand that has worked for you guys? I’ve also heard that stethoscopes work as well, how far along do you need to be to use one? And where can I pick one up? Thanks!

I have tested it and it works but how often can i use it in a week (not that i am going to use it weekly just as an example of how often i can use it) , i dont want to over use it because i dont want to hurt the baby. Has anyone else had experience with these heart monitors and how often you can use them ?
