Saturday, December 29th, 2007
karlene c asked:

I went and bought a fetal heart doppler / heart monitor from ebay. I have tested it and it works but how often can i use it in a week (not that i am going to use it weekly just as an example of how often i can use it) , i dont want to over use it because i dont want to hurt the baby. Has anyone else had experience with these heart monitors and how often you can use them ?

Fetal heartbeat monitors?

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007
Cookie asked:

I’m pregnant and would like to purchase one. Is it safe to get a fetal heart monitor and use it at home? I saw one and I wanted to buy it but the nurse at the clinic said they might not be safe for the baby? Anyone has one and used it? what do you think?

I am considering renting a fetal heart monitor?

Friday, December 21st, 2007
Lesley asked:

I am 20 weeks pregnant and I am considering renting a fetal heart monitor. I am thinking of renting one from Belly Beats for $25.00/mo. I have been a nervous wreck since I found out I was pregnant, and am looking for something to ease my mind. Does anyone know if this is a good company to rent from? Do they work? Your help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone use one of those fetal hearbeat monitor you can buy at a department store?

Friday, December 14th, 2007
doctor_76 asked:

We bought one from Wal-Mart and tried it out. It is pretty neat hearing the little thumps and bops of the baby moving around but as of yet, no heartbeat… My wife is 19 weeks as of today, anyone have any idea how soon we may be able to hear it with the monitor?

How do you use a fetal heart monitor?

Thursday, December 13th, 2007
CamMan’s Mommy asked:

I have bought one online and thought I was finding the heartbeat of my 11 week gestation fetus. I listened today and found it again but found the hearbeat on the exact same other side…..
I find the heartbeat next to my hip very low in pelvis area. First I was finding it easily on the right side, now Im finding it on the left side also. The doc confirmed that I am NOT having twins so is it arteries? What else could it be? is it not even the baby’s heart beat and mine possibly? THANKS FOR ANY HELP!
I just looked the brand I bought up and it does say can hear as early as 12 weeks… so guess it’s mine lol! Can hear the baby moving around though! THANKS

reduced fetal movement, I am on PROCARDIA and i have GD?

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007
girl asked:

I notice my fetal movement (24 weeks and 1 day) is very less compared to what i felt in the last few weeks. I am put on nifedipine (Procardia) to stop contractions which i do not feel at all. I am really worried and ordered for a fetal monitor. Went to the ER several times just to check my baby’s heartbeat . am I alright?
Thank you sweetie, i read somewhere PROCARDIA reduces blood flow (and also to the fetus) . I had a miscarriage last time at the same exact time.
i am using 10mg. I read this is a class C medicine and i was told this is perfectly normal to take it..Really worried and getting restless. Anyone, please advice..thank you

Has anyone used the AngelSounds Fetal heart doppler?

Saturday, December 8th, 2007
Mrs. L asked:

I’d like to be able to listen to baby’s heart beat at home, but I’m a little skeptical. I know the Bebe Sounds monitors you can only use from 6 months until labor. The AngelSounds is supposed to pick up the heartbeat at or shortly after 12 weeks.
