who *IS* John Galt?!? asked: when i was in L&D yesterday and hooked up to the fetal monitor i noticed the heart rate jumping up from a baseline of about 150 up to about 180 and at one point even noticed it jump up to 200; i never even saw the doctor look at the print out…the nurse tore off the paper and folded it up after the doctor had finished with me completely.
is it possible the doctor forgot to check, or didn’t notice? if she did see it without me realizing it, is it possible that it wasn’t a cause for concern for some reason? i mean, i feel like me not being a doctor means i should keep my mouth shut about things like that, but now i wonder if i should have asked her about it so she could tell me why she didn’t investigate this further as it seems like a pretty pronounced spike…
