I am thinking of buying a at home fetal monitor and was wondering a couple things. First of all how many weeks into the pregnancy will they start picking up the heartbeat and roughly how much do they cost? Thanks pregnant with baby #3 - I went to that richard casidy website and it was a photography website. Do you have the proper link?

found the heartbeat It was kinda of faint but was picking up on the number part between 160-180 was this the babys heartbeat mine obviuosly isent that high,how far along could I be I have an appt at the ob Thurs. could this monitor pick up somthing else?
Would it pick up the number even if it wasent their because sometimes I heard it and the number was on the monitor and sometimes it would go away if I wasent able to detect it would the number part stay blank?
