Fetal movement @ 23 weeks?

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010
momie_2bee asked:

I’m 23 weeks and the baby isn’t as active as he was 2 weeks ago, I feel him move maybe 3-4 times a day at the most, i have a fetal heart monitor I rented from babybeat.com and the baby’s heatr rate is always good around 150 bpm. My doc says as long as the heart rate is good then movement isn’t that important, I was wondering if anyone else went thru this at almost 6 months, I lost a baby at 20 weeks due to an umbilical cord accident so I worry about the movement, I already know to drink something sweet or cold but it doesn’t really work, any advice would be great, thanks

stress test two times a week for insulin dependent gestational diabetes?

Saturday, September 18th, 2010
SH asked:

She is fetal monitor specialist and said I will have to take stress test to monitor baby movements every week. And after 34 weeks 2 times every week. If I have to do it I will. But just feeling is this doctor doing this for Money? Do they really need to monitor baby every week two times a day if you have insulin dependent gestational diabetes?
Please only answer if you had a gestational diabetes or you know somebody with insulin dependent gestational diabetes and how many times they took this test. Since my gynacologist referred me to her I don’t want to ask this question to my gynacologist. Thank you.

Question about at home fetal heart monitors?

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010
Cristina ♥ Claire due 6/29/2010 asked:

I am considering buying a fetal heart monitor to use at home. It’s mainly for peace of mind in between doctor’s appointments, and I also think it would be nice for my mom to be able to hear the baby’s heart when she comes visit next month since she hasn’t been able to be here during my pregnancy. I have been looking at some online today and have seen quite a few that are pretty inexpensive, less than $50. I just wanted to hear experiences from people that have bought one, and also recommendations of some that are good and not too expensive. Thanks!
I have been looking on Amazon and they have a few with really good reviews that aren’t expensive at all
The angelsounds is the one I’m looking at
Well July 3 was the due date I was given after my first ultrasound, but I’ve been measuring a week ahead, so more than likely it’ll be late June. Everything is looking good so far!

Can a fetus heartbeat go up and down?

Monday, September 13th, 2010
jennifer l asked:

When i first heard the baby’s heartbeat on the fetal heart monitor back in the early stages of pregnancy it was 150 beats a min. I’m not 33 weeks pregnant and his heart rate is 131 beats a min. Is it normal for it to drop drastically? The doctor wasn’t concerned with the heartbeat saying everything is normal, but i’m just wondering if there heart rate can decrease later on?

Does anyone know much about Cholestasis during pregnancy?

Sunday, September 12th, 2010
lucyr2xoxo asked:

I developed a major itching last week over my entire body, my doctor prescribed Urso for me which has helped a little bit, I have heard that it is dangerous to the baby and can result in the baby being stillborn. I had to go to the hospital today for fetal monitoring and when they called my Ob/gyn to let him know that things were okay on the monitor and to see if he wanted me to come in again next week, my doctor told the nurse that if the medication is working then they will not induce me as he had previously told me. I will be 38 weeks pregnant on thursday and I am very worried about this condition, how can I convince my doctor that I want to be induced? Not only is the stress of worrying about this driving me crazy, so is the itching and lack of sleep its causing. Thank you.

33-34 weeks pregnant question about fetal movement?

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010
What it doodooo bizznatch asked:

I’m 33-34 wks and my baby’s movement has changed. He used to be active a lot and now there are a couple days where he’ll be active but then following that the next few days I might only feel him a few times throughout the day, and this seems to be a cycle. Is this normal at this stage? He’ll kick me constantly for a couple days and then its like he’s in crazy sleepy mode after that? Also, I was at the doctors a while back on fetal heartt monitor and his heart rate jumped from 130 to 160 a few times. The nurse said this was because of movement, but i couldn’t feel him moving. At my last doctors appointment his heart rate was 138. Is that good or bad? I am just so worried somethings gone wrong in there. Any help or insight would be appreciated, thank you.
