L&D to be monitored for decrease fetal movement. the contractions are strong enough to show on the monitor. They checked my cervix and I was still completely closed and they couldn’t figure out why with so many contractions.I haven’t lost my mucus plug yet but feel increased pressure in the pelvic area so much that’s its sometimes hard to walk. Will i go into labor soon or make it until my scheduled c-section Sept 30?

I am wondering is doctor doing it to get insurance money or is it really necessary to do fetal monitoring in gestational diabetes. Please tell your experience like how many times you had to visit doctor if you had GD. Or if you are in medical profession why is it necessary. My sugar are in control with pills.
