i have bought one from mothercare but it never shows s heartbeat just a stupid noise and what i can only describe as a bongo sign. My friend gave me there old one the angel one and i hear a heartbeat in my lower abdomen so surely it cant be my own heartbeat but it only goes at about 80 times a minute. Ive just been on it and can hear the heart beat but then it moves so im pretty sure the baby is ok i just wondered if anyone had the same with the heart rate as i know its usually about 120 plus per minute i have my 20 week scan on thursday so will query it then but just wondered what you guys thought
hmm kind of wishing i hadnt asked this question now as im quite concerned i never was before as they say sometimes you cant hear the heart till about 22 weeks and that sometimes you cant hear it at all when you try at home. I appreciate your honest answer though thank you

I had a false trip to the hospital this morning. I thought my water had broke in a slow trickle and was having contractions every 2-3 minutes. The nurse hooked me up to a fetal heart beat and contractions monitor. I was having contractions on a regular timed basis. On the monitor it showed the highest intensity of one of my contractions was 210.
So, I am wondering how high that number can go or do go during real labor? 210 wasn’t that bad, it did shut me up, but didn’t take my breath away. Does anyone know from experience the average intensity number it goes up to during a real labor contraction?
Please help so I know and can be prepared!

At the beginning of the week I noticed an increase of fetal movement. I was able to feel and see the movement from the outside. This lasted about 3-4 days in a row. Well, since the last 4-5 days, fetal movement has decreased. I feel a little something daily, mostly a little in the morning and a little at night. Definantly not the intensity or frequency. My HB monitor is still reading a rate around 150. Should the movements still be this inconsistent at this point?? WOuld you call a dr, yet or am I ok since I am feeling a little somthing.
