The fluctuation of the heart rate means your baby kicked itself off the monitor. And when its higher it means the baby is active and a lower heart rate means the baby is prob. sleeping. I am pregnant for the 4th time and my twins kick each other off the monitor all the time and the numbers go up and down constantly.
